Abstract
|

|
|
Medications are mainstays of epilepsy treatment, but surgical procedures provide another dimension for the treatment of epilepsy. This review covers targeted treatments for epilepsy including initial antiepileptic drug monotherapy, rational polytherapy for patients with refractory epilepsy, and special issues in epilepsy such as the management of women with epilepsy. This review also discusses non-pharmacologic treatments of epilepsy.
